Homicide /HO-mi-SAYD/ = "adam ldrme" karþýlýðý genel bir terimdir.

"--cide" sonekine dikkat ediniz: pesticide /PES-ti-SAYD/ = asalak ldrc... insecticide /in-SEKT-i-SAYD/ = bcek ldrc... infanticide /in-FN-ti-SAYD/ = bebek ldrme... patricide, matricide, fratricide = baba, ana, kardeþ ldrme...

Genocide /CE-ný-SAYD/ = soykýrým... Yani, Fransýzlarýn Cezayirli Mslmanlara, Amerikalý beyazlarýn kýzýlderililere, Almanlarýn Yahudilere, Sýrplarýn Boþnaklara, daha nicelerinin de daha nicelerine uygulamýþ olduðu sistemli yoketme harektlarý... [Bu terim, II. Dnya Savaþý sýrasýnda, Greke genos (ýrk, kabile, ulus) ve Latince cide (ldrme) szcklerinden yapýlmýþtýr.]

Batý'da vicdan sahibi tarihilerin de teslim ettiði zere, tarih boyunca bu konuda en az sulanabilecek ulus bizim ulusumuzdur. Eli glyken baðýþlayýcý, hoþgrl ve cmert davranan bizim atalarýmýz olmuþtur.
