At the ceremony the priest Ethan Trout from Bodrum International Grace Church officated and Mayor of Gümüşlük and Hoover’s friends participated in his funeral.

“Every people were good friends for him here. He was my best friend I have ever had. He was like a lighthouse. He had mentioned about his travels but he said that he loved Turkey so much and wanted to stay here. I think that he is happy now to have such kind of place. He always supported me. Even though, we fell apart, we tried to do our best for each other. I am sure that he is saying now that much tears are enough. You know he was a man of entertainment.” said his ex wife Neslihan Karayel.

“I know he was a good person already. We bury him under an olive tree which has been a symbol of peace throughout million of years. We leave the rest to God. May God have mercy on him.” said Mayor of Gümüşlük, Mehmet Ülküm.
